History:

The idea to establish a church in Kihururu was hatched in the year1995 when the vicar and the parish elders of A.C.K Nyathuna parish realized that Christians who formed the Kware cell were enough to start their own congregation. At the same time, they noted that a larger number of elderly parishioners from the area were rendered irregular due to distance. Having this in mind they resolved to purchase the piece of land on which A.C.K St. James Kihururu church is built at a cost of Kshs.340,000.
